About Us
Different Room is a passion project that has slowly been birthed into being since 2011. Following 17 years of experience as a spiritual and bereavement caregiver for hospice patients and families, Rachel, the creator of Different Room, is honored to offer guidance and sacred space holding in these shifting times.
My Background
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Philosophy from Campbell University in 2001, Rachel pursued a Masters of Divinity with concentrations in Church History and Theology (with biblical languages) in 2005. Intending to pursue the academic route, Rachel found herself thrust into the local church setting for a short time, eventually leading in a 17 year long career as a Spiritual Care provider for individuals and their families facing end of life.
My Background
From 2011 onward, Rachel has embraced a deeply personal deconstruction and decolonization journey. She has studied the art of energy healing (Reiki Master, 2024), ancestral work, inner child work, shadow work, astrological archetypes and indigenous philosophy.
Different Room has been birthed as a culmination of her journey.
